Poland is a highly diverse both scenically and culturally  mostly flat country in Europe with picturesque countryside, dragons, racists, Catholic racists, and spirits both distilled and fermented.

Kinja'd!!!

Join me in a tour of my storied and ancient home country.

We start in the Polish-German border town of !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . After, we make our way south to the city of !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . Closer to the Baltic coast, we find the village of !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . South again, there is !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , and !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . Clear on the other side of Poland near the Belarusian and Ukrainian borders lies the tiny town of !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . In the same region there is !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , but there are !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! towns in Poland named Proteins, and three rivers, so maybe it isn’t that special.

!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! lies north of there. There is sadly no town in Poland named Behindthewalls, because everything here has a cute diminutive, so there are instead three towns called !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . However, continuing our jaunt of the Eastern border area, we find the villages of !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! and !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .  !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! lies close to the Lithuanian border. And finally, with a population of 700,000, the sprawling metropolis of !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . Which may or may not be located 350 km from the Baltic sea.

Join us next time for more fun facts about Poland, the richest country in East Asia

I’ve been in Pigexit (for a night) and regretted that it wasn’t called Swinemünde any more because there are at least vowels in German!

Does anybody still live in Poland? I suspect that our economy would collapse without Poles doing the jobs nobody else wants.

This is probably similar all over western Europe. The Poles do the seasonal agricultural work, work in construction or provide care for the elderly.

Also, no coffee shop is complete without them.

Also, we tend to assume that anybody white and foreign is Polish, regardless of where they actually come from. Which is probably annoying, if you’re a Czech, Slovak or Hungarian.

Finish your tour of Slavic Europe in Bulgaria!

Drive in from Romania and explore quaint little towns such as Very Small Piece of String and Pee-pee . Make your way south through the capital and stop in thefirstofMay , the Tower , or (highly recommended!) Woman of the Swamp .

Clear some storage space in the camera and head east through key , blabbermouth , and The Maiden’s Church , before exploring the coastline. There, you can stop in in direct sunlight , Witchcraft , “cold” , of monsters and Small “a huge city” where you can board a tiny a huge plane and fly back home.

I think here Polish are 3rd most common nationality in construction yards and ship building industry (after Estonians and Russians) but they are not very common in other professions.
